Korean MMORPG developer Pearl Abyss kicks off the Valentine’s Day celebration with fun in-game events, while inviting players to engage in revamped PvP game modes: Node Wars and Conquest.
Adventurers can log into Black Desert Online today to earn Valentine’s Day-themed rewards by participating in three fun in-game events. This event will run for two weeks; from Wednesday February 8 to Wednesday February 22. During the event period, players will get some cool benefits, including an increase in item drop rate.
Valentine’s Day Events in Black Desert Online
Catch the chocolate thief: a leprechaun has stolen your chocolate! Catch the goblin in the monster areas to collect the “Basket of Chocolates”, which you can then open to get various items, including Cronilite x100 and Loan Yield Scroll. These items can be used for various activities within Black Desert Online, including the ability to upgrade gear.
Craft Chocolates with Love: Complete a series of in-game activities and challenges that will allow you to obtain the ingredients needed to craft “Boxes of Chocolates” for different characters in the town of Velia: Santo Manzi, Crio and Bahar. Those who reach over 1,000 affinity points with these characters will receive special rewards.
A sweet letter of thanks! : Send a Valentine’s Day love letter to your fellow adventurers. The recipient will receive a sweet gift in their mailbox which includes Sweet Chest, Sweet Answer, and Dark Chocolate. The Sweet Chest can be opened for random rewards including Advice from Valks and Mount Scrolls. Using the Sweet Reply item, adventurers will be able to return the love letter to the sender. Using the Dark Chocolate item will grant players +20 Energy Recovery.
During the Valentine’s Day event period, players will also get a 50% increase in item drops in certain Monster Zones and will also be able to obtain additional special items in various Monster Zones. Additionally, all players will get a +500% combat experience boost. They will also get a +50% increase in skill experience, as well as a 50% increase in mount experience, until maintenance on Wednesday, February 15. More information about this event here.
Finally, Pearl Abyss will host a special Valentine’s Day course with official Black Desert partners which will be streamed live on the official Twitch channel on February 14. Participants will compete to win the heart of one of Black Desert Online’s community managers.
