Resident Evil 4 Update
It took 8 years for the Resident Evil 4 HD project to start. The fans have been looking forward to the new graphics update since February 2nd. Another special feature that is definitely worth mentioning is that the mod is free for everyone.
In this HD project from Resident Evil 4, original recordings are said to have been made from all over the world, which the developer then uses in the production. Examples of this are Raglan Castle in Wales or Paul Güell in Barcelona. The goal was to make every stone, wall, knob and dial as real as possible through rework and high-resolution stock photos.
In the course of the publication, Marin reported on the difficulties of the recordings:
“It might sound like an easy challenge, and it is when you don’t have an original texture to stay true to. You have no idea how complicated it can be to find a rock surface that matches the original, the hundreds of different rock types that nature has to offer!”
Capcom Releases Resident Evil 4 Remake Gameplay
Capcom finally released excerpts from the gameplay footage. The hunger of the waiting fans was at least somewhat satisfied. Capcom therefore showed the gameplay material at the showcase. You could see a third-person-over-the-shoulder perspective and the focus on survival horror. In addition, some well-known sights from all over the world.
The fourth remake was then officially unveiled during the Sony State of Play. It is also mentioned here that the developer of Resident Evil 4 uses the RE Engine, Capcom’s proprietary game engine.
The development of the Resident Evil 4 remake has been going on for a very long time, but now the release date has also been set. On March 24, 2023, the title will then officially start. Next Gen Upgrades for Resident Evil titles two, three and seven are also available.
