The first Call of Duty: Warzone update after the start of the season is here. The developers fixed some lousy bugs and are already announcing the next big weapon balance. DLPrivateServer shows you the details.
What kind of update is that? On Wednesday night (April 28), Call of Duty: Warzone brought a new update. With the patch, the developers fix some annoying bugs and announce nerfs for strong weapons after the start of the season. The most important points:
- Fix for “Eagle Hunt” event
- Repairing places on the map where you could “leave” the map
- Announcement of a greater balance of weapons
There were also some other fixes for small bugs that had crept into the game. DLPrivateServer shows you the full patch notes in German.
CoD Warzone: Update April 28. fix the eagle map and event
Do I have to download something for the update? The patch came in the background and does not have its own version number. So you just have to download a bit or your game will do it on its own when you launch it.
What do the patch notes say? The highlights are definitely the fix from the current “Eagle Hunt” live event and map repairs. But there are other settings:
- The “Eagle Hunt” event should now count progress correctly
- Eagle event quests no longer appear off-map.
- Fixed several places on the Verdansk ’84 map where you came / fell under the map
- Fixed a bug that kept showing the gas mask overlay even though the mask was consumed.
- Epic M82 blueprint shown with heated visor
- CoD MW’s Model MP5 “Barbed Wire” Is No Longer a Box Loot
- Shadowhunter crossbow reload audio restored.
- Fixed issues with the plane in Battle Royale Practice Mode.
- Fixed the north explosion optical background bug
The developers reacted relatively quickly to problems with the new Verdansk ’84 card. Players slipped under the map and could easily kill fair players.

More news about Warzone:
- Is CoD Warzone worth it again in season 3?
- bug turns your gun into a squeaky alien
- 4 strong weapons in season 3 that are favorites for the meta
Warzone announces AMAX Nerf
At the end of the patch notes, the creators of CoD gave a small preview of the upcoming changes. Since the beginning of Season 3, the weapons meta has been broader and more open than it has been in a long time, but that’s not enough for the developers.
Warzone advertises nerfs for three weapons, which are currently a bit too strong for them:
- CR-56 AMAX – CoD MW assault rifle
- FARA 83 – Cold War Assault Rifle
- Bullfrog – Cold War submachine gun
Additionally, the developers write that there will be “adjustments to ADS rate of fire from ‘Cold War’ trials.” At the moment, Cold War weapons are considered more mobile and faster in Battle Royale. Modern Warfare weapons sometimes can’t keep up. Apparently, changes are planned that will boost the sighting speed of some of the trials.
Here it would be possible to make adjustments to the scopes.Currently, the value deductions for most Cold War scopes are very slight or not felt. Modern Warfare’s visors, on the other hand, have major disadvantages in terms of visor speed.
When the nerfs arrive, the patch notes are left open. An implementation would be possible with the regular update of the playlist today Thursday (April 29). Because at least on AMAX-Nerf the developers have been working for a long time. There was already a comment about the weapon in the season 3 patch notes: “No king rules forever.”
