Call of Duty: Warzone

Gamers have been dreaming of an online battle of this size for years – now it could finally become a reality. Latest evidence suggests that Call of Duty will do something that has never been done in previous CoD shooters. With one of the next updates, up to 250 players should be possible at the same time.

Specifically, it is about reports and rumors about a new warzone map called the Ural Mountains. For weeks there have been clues that Verdansk has also come to an end at the end of this season. In order to wipe out the zombies once and for all, the entire map should apparently be blown up.

250 player map

That would in turn make space for a new map, or make it absolutely necessary. And this is where the rumors of various well-known Call of Duty insiders come into play. They have been claiming since January that the game should get a new map.

Allegedly there were tests by Treyarch that indicate both a new map and a higher number of players per lobby. With currently 150 players who can compete per match on Verdansk, this would be an increase that seems quite realistic.

One of the most famous insiders who pointed out a new map in April a long time ago is Tom Henderson. He writes that the upcoming map in Warzone will have a total of 23 locations: “The new warzone map is extremely large, so much so that it has 23 locations. There will be more vehicles. There is also talk that it will be played with 250 players.”

The fairly reputable gaming news site Videogameschronicles also tweeted a few weeks ago on the subject. They indicate that they are also assuming a new map relatively firmly.
