Bloober Team just released a new trailer for the new Layers of fear the reinvention of his horror franchise, with which he confirms that it will reach Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in June 2023. The trailer also gives us a little insight into the spooky locations in this new game.
The new Layers of Fear is a reimagining of the first two games, merging the best elements of Layer of Fear 1 and Layer of Fear 2 with new game mechanics and a new story. Previously, Bloober Team stated that Layers of Fear is the definitive experience, as its story spans the previous two games and connects them with additional chapters.
The new Layers of Fear was originally announced in October 2021 with a small teaser and has since reportedly been made with Unreal Engine 5, so it should deliver a great visual experience that really brings the franchise into the next generation. In addition to working on the new Fear Layers, the Bloobear team is working on a Silent Hill 2 Remake for Konami, which will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 5. It was recently confirmed that Silent Hill 2 Remake will change the graphics and gameplay, but that won’t change the story, as the Bloober team wants to stay true to the original.
That’s not all, because in October last year, Bloober Team announced that The Medium will have a television series, with which it will expand its franchises to other media. Even so, the Polish company’s closest release will be Layers of Fear in June this year on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
