Strictly Limited Games announced today that they are working on a physical release of Blast Brigade vs. Dr. Cread’s Evil Legion on the switch.
Two different versions are planned. There will be a limited edition (which is basically a standard edition as it contains no extras) plus a “special limited edition”. The latter includes a copy of the game, a special box, a manual, an art book, a soundtrack on two CDs and a poster.

Blast Brigade is a unique blend of Metroidvania and dual stick run and gun, with a touch of Megaman elements, featuring 4 playable characters with unique abilities and personalities, which the player can switch between at any time. As Metroidvania, these skills are naturally necessary to progress in the interconnected world, as well as to discover secrets and materials to improve your workshop. And you really want it, because this game won’t be a walk in the park. Even normal enemies can kill you if you’re not careful, and for bosses, memorizing patterns is key. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Globally, Blast Brigade manages to excel here as well, leaning heavily on ’80s spy movie tropes with its archetypal characters and classic setting of a tropical island home to the supervillain’s base. Combined with its brilliant Saturday morning cartoon style graphics and groundbreaking humor, Blast Brigade really manages to stand out in the sea of equal action platformers.
