Pearl Abyss announced today that Black Desert Online has completely revamped the in-game trading system, making it much easier to understand and use for all players.
Trading is one of the many professions enjoyed by players in Black Desert Online, and it plays a central role in the production of Silver, the in-game currency. In order to accumulate wealth, adventurers will need to buy and sell trade items to and from different areas of the game, based on the most efficient price, mimicking the sophisticated real-life economic structure.
To make trading more immersive, adventurers will be able to listen to “rumors” that indicate market price fluctuations. Of course, these rumors may or may not be true, and like in real life, it will be up to the trader to make the best decision possible. By closely monitoring market trends and listening to Black Desert Online’s resident NPCs, adventurers will be able to make the right decisions to become profitable traders.
Changes to the game’s quality of life have made trading more accessible and fun to use. For example, the weight limit that a Flimsy Wagon can carry has been tripled, and the price of trade items will now depend on “Buy Time” and can be stored in the order contract. This gives adventurers more time to develop their own trading strategy for maximum profit and without having to keep an eye on the game itself.
Market prices now change on a fixed basis every 4 hours, and random price fluctuation is no longer encouraged. This allows Adventurers to conduct a trading strategy ahead of anticipated price moves.
This overhaul of the game’s trading system is introduced as part of previous accessibility efforts that have been implemented over the past two months, including improvements to the user interface, the sharing of money between characters of the same family and the reduction of the weight restriction in the Central Depository of the Market.
There’s never been a better time to start developing the trading profession in Black Desert Online, and new adventurers and veterans alike will be pleased to know that many more improvements are on the way.
