Did you know that a new DOOM game was released this week? While not id Software’s next mainline entry, ‘Mighty DOOM‘ is out now on mobile, and it seems to be doing quite well in its launch week.
In fact, Mighty DOOM is now at the top of the free games charts on iOS and Android at the time of writing. Of course, these graphics are subject to change and change in the days and weeks to come, but clearly the game was a huge success at launch.

Being a game designed for mobile devices, Mighty DOOM does not function as a standard DOOM title. Much of the visual language of the series. do However, it translates well to that “one-touch top-down shooter.” We love the overall look of this game!
Either way, we’re excited to see little Doom Guy make his mobile game a success, but of course we’re hoping that Mighty DOOM will soon be followed by another major console release. It’s been three years of identification, what are you doing?
