Submachine guns, or SMGs, have been synonymous with the Call of Duty: Mobile metagame for quite some time. They are the best value for money and allow players to maintain good mobility while raining down balls. Specializing in close to medium range firefights, with a high rate of fire coupled with low recoil, it’s no surprise that SMGs continue to get nerfed, but they still manage to stay relevant. 10. AGR .556
One of the best aspects of the AGR is its controllability for an SMG weapon. Although it has a good rate of fire, its main downside is that you need to be precise with bullet placement as it has low multipliers when hitting the limbs and stomach.
9. HG 40
On paper, the HG 40 is an inferior SMG compared to its peers. But there is a great saving grace, and that is its scope. The HG 40 has much better effective range than most other SMGs, which can level the playing field when picking your matches. Add attachments and you will see a dangerous weapon.
8. Fennec
With barely a barrel to speak of, the Fennec has one of the highest rates of fire in the game (1111 RPM). The downside is that it also has much higher recoil than your typical SMG, but if you’re using it at close range, that’s not a downside, given you have unprecedented TTK with it.
7. Switchblade X9
The Switchblade is a compact SMG with a high burst rate. It’s lightweight, so it promotes mobility and does a lot of damage. Not enough to rate it higher on our list. But with some offensive attachments, it’s definitely a weapon to be feared.
6. MSMC
MSMC is second only to the Fennec in potential rate of fire (932 RPM). However, it recently improved its close range damage, while slightly nerfing said range. This means you want to get in front of your opponents and vaporize them relentlessly.
5. KSP 45
The KSP comes across as a cross between an SMG and an Assault Rifle, due to its longer range and interesting burst fire pattern. It extends to both sides, but does not protrude either. However, it’s a good specialty weapon if you’re able to fire those long-range SMG shots.
4. GKS
One of the newest weapons in this class, the GKS even recently received a damage buff. It has unprecedented TTK potential, but only if you have the skills to handle it properly. It’s great at all ranks, but the skills required to use it make it harder to master.
3. MAC-10
When you think of the ultimate close quarters SMG, look no further than the MAC-10. With a 1200 RPM fire rate, it’s an absolute beast for shredding opponents, as well as a great damage trade-off with lower accuracy and higher recoil. But at close range, it hardly matters when you get used to it.
2. PPSh-41
It may not seem like much, but the PPSh-41 is an incredibly accurate weapon in the SMG category, up to medium range. It’s the only SMG you want to use in ADS mode all the time, while still maintaining its high rate of fire and impressive ammo capacity.

No matter how many times it’s been nerfed, the CBR4 remains at the top of the SMG list. Little to no recoil and an impressive rate of fire paired with high damage is all it takes to remain the threat it’s always been. And with the right accessories, it’s virtually unstoppable.
