Best Hunter PvP Build: The Radiant Renegade

This version of Destiny 2 Hunter takes full advantage of the Gunslinger’s secret weapon: glow. When a player is radiant, they deal increased weapon damage to enemies. Although this is only 10% more damage in PvP, it will make a huge difference in any situation where you and your enemy are evenly matched.

Additionally, in this patch we are combining glow with weapon damage buffs from elemental wells, increasing the damage dealt to even higher numbers.

Class: Gunslinger – Golden Gun – Deadshot

  • Beaten down: Disintegrates targets with sunlight. Taunting Solar power-ups with Super active, refunds the Golden Gun turn. You also get to be radiant.
    • Alight causes a large solar explosion that deals damage in an area around the target.
    • Radiant Deal more weapon damage to enemies.

  • 100+ recovery
  • Mobility 80+
  • 80+ intelligence

Get it with primary armor to max out stats, using armor mods that further increase them, and using stat boost shards.

class skills

  • healing pomegranate: Heals allies on impact and creates an orb of benevolent sunlight, granting restoration to allies when picked up.
  • Acrobat Dodge: The dodge ability provides Radiant to you and nearby allies.
  • Triple jump: Maintain the air jump with a second or third jump.
  • light knife: The knife deals moderate damage, while precision hits make you radiant.

aspects

  • Shoot them down: Improved super solar. Deadshot has an increased duration. While radiant, finishing hits with a throwing knife equipped fully restore melee energy.
  • On your marks: Precision finishing blows allow you and nearby allies to increase weapon maneuverability and reload speed. Stacks three times. Activating the class ability grants maximum stacks.

fragments

  • Empyrean Ascua: Weapon or Solar ability finishers extend the duration of the restoration and radiant effects on you. (-10 Resistance)
  • Torch Ember: Empowered melee attacks make you and your allies glow.
  • Ember of Benevolence: Applying Restoration, Healing, or Radiation to allies increases class, melee, and grenade skill regeneration. (-10 discipline)
  • Ember of comfort: Radiant and Healing effects applied to you have a longer duration.
  • To be a member: Super Sun Shells have stronger target acquisition. (+10 smarts)

exotic armor

  • ST0MP-EES: Increases run speed and glide distance and improves jumps, but decreases all airborne weapon effectiveness stats.
    • As an alternative, you can use Celestial nightjar for high damage shots that cause explosions and extend your Super. This stacks with Radiance and Font of Might, further improving your weapon damage (explained below).
    • you can also use Star Eater Scales to get extra super energy from the power orbs you collect. Additionally, when Super Energy is full, picking up a Power Orb supercharges your Super, granting you a burst of healing when you cast it and a bonus to your Super damage, which stacks with glow for even more damage. And, at max overload, you get an overshield.

armor mods

Use mods that support the weapon types you use in PvP. For experienced players, this often means prioritizing hand cannons, shotguns, and rocket launchers. You will also want to use the following:

  • Radiant light: Casting your super causes nearby allies to become charged with Light. (+20 Strength if inserted into another Arc mod)
  • Powerful friends: When charged with light, nearby allies are also charged with light. +20 Mobility.
  • hard hand: While Charged with Light, it recovers half of its melee energy when using a Charged Melee ability, consuming a charge of Charged with Light. Surrounded by multiple enemies, defeat an enemy with a fusion rifle, shotgun, handgun, or submachine gun to add weapon ammo to the reserves.
  • Quick Charge: Become Charged with Light by quickly defeating multiple enemies with Fusion Rifles or Shotguns. Greatly increases the readiness speed of Fusion Rifles, Shotguns, SMGs, and Swords.
    • Alternatively, use high energy firewhich adds a bonus to weapon damage when charged with light.

Equip weapons with the Vorpal Weapon perk to increase the damage to an even higher number.

Best PvE Hunter Build: Infinite Invisibility

This version of Destiny 2 Hunter takes advantage of various void mechanics to grant the player near unlimited invisibility. The goal is to remove them, weaken them, or apply volatility to them. Defeating these targets with the sleek executioner will grant you invisibility and true vision. A minor change is to use Trapper’s Ambush instead, depending on whether your priority is yourself or your teammates.

You will also gain invisibility by dodging with Vanishing Step. With the Omnioculous Exotic Chest Piece, you’ll gain damage resistance for yourself and your teammates while invisible. However, if you just prefer continuous invisibility, you can use Six Wolves, which grants a second dodge which Vanishing Step also benefits from. Additionally, Void Elemental Well mods will provide additional protection and grant weapon damage bonuses.

Best Destiny 2 Hunter builds for PvP and PvE in Arc 3.0: Enemies are killed with the Moebius Quiver tether super ability.

Class: Nightstalker – Shadowshot – Moebius Quiver

Moebius Quiver: Attaches enemies to anchor them, weakening and suppressing them. Fires two bursts of arrows that search for nearby targets. Shadowshot makes targets volatile and increases damage to tethered targets. Defeating tethered targets grants Orbs of Power.

Get it with primary armor to max out stats, using armor mods that further increase them, and using stat boost shards.

class skills

  • Grenade suppressor: Explosive Grenade suppresses enemies and prevents them from using their abilities for a short time.
  • Player dodge: Perform a somersault to avoid enemy attacks. Dodging near enemies fully recharges the melee ability.
  • Triple jump: Maintain the air jump with a second or third jump.
  • crazy trap: Launches a smoke bomb, which sticks to enemy surfaces and pings enemy radar. Dampens targets on detonation.

  • no leak: Dodging makes the player invisible.
  • elegant executioner: Defeating a weakened, suppressed, or volatile target grants invisibility and truesight. Your next melee attack while invisible weakens the target.
    • Con real showenemies are shaded and flash red through walls.
  • As an alternative, you can use trapper ambush, which allows you to activate Quickfall to create a cloud of smoke that makes allies invisible. Your smoke bomb will also attach to your allies and make them invisible. The benefit of this is that it will provide more damage protection to your teammates when used with Omniolcus.

  • Echo of Dominant: After removing a target, you gain mobility and your equipped weapon reloads from reserves.
  • Echo of Retaliation: Finishing moves while surrounded by fighters grant super energy.
  • Echo of Darkness: Final finishing moves grant invisibility. +10 Recovery

exotic armor

  • Onnioculus: Smoke Bomb charges up and gains damage resistance (50%) while invisible and to nearby allies when you make them invisible. Also gain melee energy by making them invisible.
    • Alternatively, if you prefer extra invisibility over damage reduction and don’t take advantage of the Trapper’s Ambush to provide damage reduction to your teammates, you can use the sixth coyotewhich grants a second dodge charge.

armor mods

Use mods that support the weapon types you use for your chosen PvE activity. Also use the following:

  • Harvester pit: When you activate your class ability, the weapon’s next finishing hit generates an empty elemental well.
  • Tenacity Well: Picking up a Void Elemental Well reduces the damage you take from enemies for a short time.
  • Power source: Picking up an Elemental Well that matches your subclass energy grants bonus weapon damage.
