Ben Stiller he is proud of Tropic Thunder and defends his film, even though it was quite controversial at the time for various reasons, and would probably never have been greenlit for filming today. What a lot of people still don’t understand to this day is that the movie was a parody of Hollywood actors trying to win awards. But this perception of satire did not reach the masses.
Someone recently tweeted Ben Stiller saying he should stop apologizing for Tropic Thunder, but by the actor’s own admission he never did, which he also detailed. on his Twitter account.
“I don’t apologize for Tropic Thunder. I don’t know who told you that. It’s always been a controversial movie since we released it. Proud of it and the work everyone has done on it .”
Even Robert Downey Jr.who donned blackface in the film, has already come out to defend her and her role in Tropic Thunder.
