After the controversial premiere and mixed reception, DICE is systematically developing and improving the game by adding more content. We got a chance to see what’s new in Battlefield 2042 Season 4 before the reveal and we can honestly say: it looks spectacular and just plain good.
Season 4 in Battlefield 2042 – What’s New?
Battlefield 2042 Season 4, called The Eleventh Hour, is another big patch that adds many new features to the game. The biggest novelty is, of course, a new map: Flashpoint is a large desert map where you will fight on land and in the air. Also new is the new and final Recon Team Specialist and many new weapons. Let’s not forget, of course, the next battle pass and the 100 levels to unlock.
Battlefield 2042 Season 4 – Flashpoint Map
The new map is called Flashpoint and is set somewhere in South Africa. Flashpoint is a desert map, although there will also be bases, various industrial or even underground facilities. The map looks varied, so there won’t be a shortage of spots for long-range combat and melee combat. As usual with Battlefield, watch out for snipers. On the Flashpoint map, you will have to capture strategic points (flags).
New Specialist – Camila Blasco
The new Battlefield 2042 specialist is Camila Blasco from Spain. She represents the Recon class and is also the latest specialist added to Battlefield 2042. As befits the Recon class, Camila Blasco has some gadgets that will help her fit in. Thanks to the X6 infiltration device, a new device for the Recon class, Camila Blasco will not be detected by motion sensors and invisible to tracking systems, for example, in combat aircraft. He also sees mines or Claymores and can hack them.
Season 4 in Battlefield 2042 – New Weapons, Gadgets and Vehicles
The game will also get new weapons that you can use in the desert. The Super 500 is a short range rifle with great firepower. The Super 500 will be unlocked in a battle pass at level 34. The RM68 Assault Rifle with integrated silencer will be useful for quick firefights at medium range. The AC9 SMG is a handy and fast small weapon for shorter ranges. The RPT-31 is a slow but powerful heavy rifle. There will also be new vault weapons: SVD and Type 88 LMG.
Season 4 will also add a new heavy armored vehicle: CAV-Brawler. You can unlock it for free with the Battle Pass at level 28. The game will also get a new gadget – SPH Explosive Launcher unlocked for free at level 16.
Battlefield 2042 – Season 4 New Battle Pass
Of course, alongside Battlefield 2042 Season 4, there will be a new Battle Pass and another 100 levels to unlock. Remember that some will be unlocked for free, while premium prizes will only be unlocked after paying for the Battle Pass. With a Tier 0 Battle Pass, you’ll unlock the new Specialized skin: the Irish “Greenback” skin. For reaching level 100, you will get the Blasco “Fault Line” Skin. Moreover, you will have dozens of levels with cosmetic items, weapon and character skins, etc.
Season 4 of Battlefield 2042 will start soon on February 28.
