At The Game Awards 2022, Larian Studios revealed the Baldur’s Gate 3 release date window. Now we know exactly when in August 2023 it will appear. It will arrive at the end of the month on August 31, 2023. Moreover, people will also be able to get Baldur’s Gate 3 on the PS5. Not only that, but the State of Play story trailer offered a first look at JK Simmons as General Ketheric Thorm.
First, here is the Baldur’s Gate 3 release date and trailer. Simmons’ voice can be heard immediately, acting as narrator.
There’s a bonus video to go along with that. After announcing the release date, Larian shared a second video featuring Simmons. He shows him in the recording booth, speaking some of his lines for General Thorm. However, it’s fairly brief and doesn’t include any commentary from Simmons on what it was like to play the character.
As a reminder, Baldur’s Gate 3 is the latest installment in the RPG series. The Mindflayers placed an illithic tadpole on the head of the player’s avatar as part of their attempt to take over the realm. While you manage to evade them, the journey is to find a way to break free from this onslaught and protect Faerun.
