After a season in Early Access, back hero is about to receive its full version and now we have more information about when it will be released. The inventory management roguelike has been announced for an expected release in May 2023.
A “Town” feature is something fans have been asking for, and it will now be added to the game. It promises “a rewarding progression path for you to expand your item pool and unlock new heroes.” Moreover, it is mentioned that “you will transfer your organizational skills from your backpack to the streets to build a perfect city with the resources you gather during your adventures”.
Co-creator Jasper Cole said, “The entire team is incredibly grateful to the Backpack Hero community. Over the past year, we’ve launched on itch.io, launched a business, launched a Kickstarter, launched on Steam Early Access, and have been able to grow the game in so many ways that have exceeded our wildest dreams. I can’t wait to see the game on other platforms! This is possible thanks to the community that has supported us, and I am very grateful to them for supporting this small and humble independent team.
