There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the release of Atomic Heart, which will be released on February 21 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The game is the work of a Russian development studio (Muindfish), which refused to take a position on Russia’s war against Ukraine, and was also accused of collecting personal data from its users and to have some dubious sources of funding. .

The famous video game composer Mick Gordon (Doom, Killer Instinct) made the game’s soundtrack, and now he’s decided to take a stand against Putin, Russia, and ruthless war. For this reason, he will donate all his money “from the match to the Australian Red Cross in support of the Ukrainian people, who are heroically defending their country against aggression”. Gordon explains in detail the reason for his decision:

“Like the rest of the world, I was horrified when Putin’s armies escalated the war in Ukraine with a brutal and unjustifiable invasion, causing immense suffering to the Ukrainian people. The tragedy of this conflict, in which already many Countless innocent lives have been lost and the country is deeply affected by violence and instability. This invasion was not a decision of the Russian people, but of an authoritarian regime that does not respect human rights and dignity. The world must continue to demand an end to this aggression and show solidarity with the Ukrainian people.”

Gordon also writes in an open letter on Twitter:

“This donation is a way for me to provide practical support to those whose lives have been affected by war. The Red Cross has been a vital resource for those affected by the conflict, providing aid, medical care and psychosocial support. By supporting the Red Cross, I am confident that my donation will have a positive impact on those in need, and I am honored to use my work as a means of helping those affected by conflict. . »

He also adds that he is “looking forward to seeing and hearing how my musical contributions take
endgame life when Atomic Heart releases later this month.”
