Publisher Rainmaker Productions and developer M2 have announced that Assault Suits Valken Declassified will appear on Switch. The game will be released worldwide later this spring.

Assault Suits Valken Declassified is a remaster of the original SNES shooter Assault Suits Valken, which was released in the West as Cybernator. One of the main attractions of this version is that while the original Western version had been censored for an international audience, this new version will be a re-translated and uncensored version. Beyond that, the game is also expected to feature a translated recreation of its original Japanese walkthrough, new artwork, as well as new features like save states, replay function, and unlockable hints.

You can learn more about Assault Suits Valken in the preview below.

THE RETURN OF A SNES CLASSIC

The original Assault Suits Valken was censored and edited for international release as Cybernator. This new declassified version finally features the original Valken Assault Suits officially translated into English for the first time.

Additionally, a recreation of the original 80-page Japanese guide has been translated into English and included in this release, 40 pages of which cover the game’s backstory.

Following this, this declassified version features new artwork from the game’s character designer Satoshi Urushihara and previously unseen production artwork.

The original and arranged soundtracks are also available to play on the game’s music player, along with a new interview with Satoshi Nakai about the design of the original game’s mechanics.
