A life as long as Counter Strike for Apex Legends

» Where we come from is that Apex is going to last 20 years like Counter Strike. The game must be able to become self-sufficient and autonomous. The systems need to be robust, interesting, and good enough to keep players playing season after season, even if we don’t add new custom content. But there will always be participants to create interesting options, create interesting challenges and modify the ruleset to create the healthiest game. Nikolich expressed.

Nikolich compares Apex Legends to traditional sports. He explains that games like basketball have also evolved over the years.

» If you look at some of the most established sports in the world, they’ve been around for over 100 years, but in their early years the games are… Basketball is my favorite game, it’s come a long way in just 100 years. (…) NOWe are in the first five years of basketball where there is no stopwatch, no three-point line, all that. And we are gradually moving towards the NBA that we know today. And it will take a long time to add new things, new content. »
