Although it’s been out for less than 24 hours, a Valorant Gekko bug means the new FPS game launcher appears on both your ally’s and enemy team’s maps, making it a pretty juicy target. for bloodthirsty adversaries.
In our exclusive preview of Valorant’s new agent, Gekko, we described him as “OP but not in a good way”. If you, too, have been at the mercy of his mighty Moshpit Grenade, luckily it looks like a nasty little bug has sought revenge instead.
As detected by ‘BeastPK’, as soon as the match starts, the enemy icon Gekko appears on the map, showing that he is hiding behind the A Rafters in Split.
The icon stays there for the entire round, causing poor Gekko to get stacked and quickly thrown by a perfectly placed Raze Grenade.
The video was quickly uploaded to Valorant’s competitive subreddit, prompting a response from agent and game designer “Penguin”, who wrote, “Alert the appropriate QA authorities, thanks for the report!”
Another player mentions that this has apparently happened to a few other agents as well, showing a video where the enemy Skye has also randomly appeared on the minimap. Some say the bug has been around for a while, even though they claim it’s “rare”, but with the release of Gekko, it’s clearly managed to resurface.
Whether old or new, this bug clearly needs to be fixed. This gives the enemy team a huge advantage and makes the game completely unfair. Since Riot noticed it, we hope to see some sort of fix as soon as possible; after all, if you’re looking to grind the Valorant Act 2 Episode 6 Battle Pass, it will make it hard to get XP. group more difficult.
It will also make it harder to climb the ranks in Valorant, so I suggest locking down one of Valorant’s best scopes early to make sure your weapon skills are at their best.
