Solasta: Palace of Ice, the next expansion to the old-school RPG from Tactical Adventures, has been announced to a warm reception.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is, of course, the biggest Dungeons & Dragons-based game of the year, but version 1.0 won’t be released until August. However, fans of the brand will have no reason to complain about the boredom. Developers of the excellent RPG Solasta: Magister’s Crown Tactical Adventures, announced the next DLC, titled ice Palace.
- The DLC will debut on PC in May this year.
- From the day of its release, the extension will also be available as part of the Game Pass.
- For now, only the PC version has been announced, but it’s likely the DLC will also be coming to Xbox consoles at a later date.
- Palace of Ice will not be a standalone expansion, so the Solasta base will need to work.
Solasta: Ice Palace will feature a new campaign for characters level 10-16. In it, we will travel to the frozen lands of the Snow Alliance, whose lands will become the target of an invasion by the Kingdom of Gallivan.
And the new story. the DLC will expand the character creator, expanding the list of races with gnomes and tieflings. There will also be new monsters and locations. Players will be able to import their group from previous adventures or create a new one. The campaign will be played solo or in cooperative mode with up to four people.
All of the new locations, items, and monsters introduced in Solasta: Palace of Ice will also be available in Adventure Creator. Also, alongside the release of the DLC, an update will be released which will improve the mode for free with a new world map system and the ability to create NPCs that will become players’ companions. The same patch will also introduce six additional faces for humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, and half-elves.
As a final reminder, Solasta: Crown of the Magister is an RPG whose ambition was to recreate as closely as possible the rules and atmosphere of the tabletop RPG Dungeons & Dragons version 5.1. The developers have achieved this goal and the game has been very well received – on Steam, 83% of user reviews are positive, describing the reception as “very positive”.
