A nightclub might not be the first place one would expect to see a random reference to animal crossingbut that’s exactly what a UK fan recently discovered when he discovered the beloved frog chair drawn on a wall

Nintendo’s colorful life-sim series has been delighting fans for over 20 years, so it’s no surprise that fans are showing their love for Animal Crossing in a variety of ways, including random wall graffiti.

Many Animal Crossing elements have gained “iconic” status among gamers over the decades. Recurring characters like Tom Nook and Isabelle have endeared themselves to millions of fans, and the welcoming gameplay has inspired a number of genre contenders.

However, when it comes to icons, few have been as charming and endearing as the Frog Chair, a piece of furniture whose smiley, amphibian face has captured hearts since the days of the Nintendo GameCube.

Such is the popularity of this frog chair that it’s been referenced quite often outside of Animal Crossing, with recent cameo appearances in an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. And now comes another appearance thanks to a reddit user known as DefectiveHumour, who shared a photo of Frog Chair graffiti at a club in Cardiff, Wales.

It’s unclear who illustrated the design there, but whoever drew it added a little extra flair, giving it a pair of slanted eyebrows that make the normally friendly chair look a little more ‘playful’.
