The Temptest update for Phasmophobia saw the arrival of Monkey Paw, allowing players to change certain things on the map while playing. Throughout this update reveal, various symbols displayed in the featured images have been hinted at, and now players can find them in the game lobby. The community has worked together to understand the meaning of these symbols and they explain one last clue. This is what you need to know about all the symbols and their meanings in Phasmophobia.
What do the glowing symbols in the Warehouse and all the answers to the Phasmophobia puzzles mean?
There are nine glowing symbols in total that you can find in the lobby when you jump into Phasmophobia. Two of these symbols are repeated, so there are seven unique symbols. These glowing symbols appear in the lobby, but you can find them on different maps. Each comes with a unique puzzle, requiring you to repeat certain steps to find out which letters they represent. When you have solved all the letters, you will be able to find out what is the hidden message left by the Phasmophobia team and what awaits you in a future update.

You can find the puzzles on the map, but you will need UV light to locate the answer, which will be harder to find when you find the symbols puzzle.
First glowing symbol in Phasmophobia

Go to the Edgefield Road map to find the first symbol and get out of the van. Go past the house, but turn right and walk down the driveway that leads to the small dam. You will find the riddle here: “I go down the stairs to a swing, I hold the house above.”
The solution to this puzzle leads you to the map of Tanglewood. You need to go down to the basement and locate the rocking chair. Look up from the rocking chair using the UV light and you will see the solution symbol, showing you “I”.
Second luminous symbol in phasmophobia

You will need to go to Ridgeview Court. You can find the riddle outside the house, to the right of the door, under the window. The riddle of this symbol is: “In a place where the hands must be seen at all times. I hide where the water falls on command.
This sentence is also shared when you are on the prison map. You can find this answer in the prison showers and you will need to place your UV lamp to the right of the batteries, near the corner of the tiles. The answer to this riddle is ‘T’.
Third glowing symbol in Phasmophobia

For this symbol, go to the map of Tanglewood. You will find this symbol in a closet at the back of a house. The riddle of this symbol is: “Rising from a watery grave, a quiet place to watch the sunrise.”
This puzzle requires you to head to Camp Woodwind, the largest camp map, and head to the bridge that leads to the water. Stand at the edge of the bridge with Monkey Paw and wish for a sunrise. On the floor of the bridge, the symbol means ‘O’.
Fourth light symbol in Phasmophobia

You will need to go to Bleasdale Farm to locate this symbol. It will be on the floorboards, in front of the stairs leading to the attic. Before turning right to enter the attic, look straight ahead and you will find the puzzle symbol above the boxes. The riddle of this symbol is: “In light rain and snow I never rest, defending the fruit from my enemies above, bring me light that keeps me warm.”
The solution to this puzzle will lead you to Grafton Farmhouse. You will need to bring a candle to this location and exit to the Scarecrow. Check again to light the candle. You won’t need UV light for this one, because the candle works for it. When you stand next to the scarecrow, this symbol will turn out to be an “N”.
Fifth light symbol in Phasmophobia

For this symbol, you can find it in the house at 13 Willow Street, in the room on the right, at the back of the house, it is displayed on a blackboard. The riddle of this symbol asks you: “Feed me black stones and the fire will grow, in return I will warm this snow in hell and in you.”
You need to visit the Sunny Meadows map and find the Monkey’s Paw. When you find the monkey paw, ask him to wish for snow, which will cause snow to fall on the map. Once you’ve done that, head to the boiler room where you can find some coal, and on the right side of the room you’ll find this symbol, which stands for “P”.
Sixth luminous symbol in phasmophobia

This symbol appears in Camp Woodwind, similar to the answer for the third glowing symbol. You can find it inside the first tent, next to the cools. The riddle of this symbol is as follows: “Looking out of a bedroom window at a wall, in the mist above the basement, reveals everything.”
You can find the answer to this riddle at 13 Willow Street. You will need to find the Monkeypaw on this map and then wish for the fog. Once you’ve done that, head into the master bedroom on the left side of the building above the basement. Point your UV light at the basement window and you will see that the symbol stands for “H”.
Seventh light symbol in Phasmophobia

For the last symbol, go to the prison map, and you have to continue outside and check the outside of the truck that you leave on the left. It will be at the door. The riddle is therefore: “Leave the building where the learning takes place, to find the beginning of a labyrinth outside.”
This puzzle wants you to go to the Brown High School map and outside. There will be several trees with glowing arrows on them. Follow the arrows to the end and find the meaning of the symbol on the side of the building. The symbol means ‘E.’
All Meanings of Symbols in Phasmophobia
Now that you have the meaning of all the symbols, the letters you have on the left side are ‘I’, ‘T’, ‘O’, ‘N’, ‘P’, and on the right side you have ‘ O”, ‘H’, ‘E’ and ‘P.’ These should spell two different words, and many in the community believe this spells “Point Hope”, referring to an upcoming new map for Phasmophobia.
However, this cannot be confirmed until the developers of Phasmophobia confirm these results.
