With each new Teamfight Tactics set, the most exciting news is the exciting new additions to the Trait and Champion rosters. With Set 8.5, the mid-range Monsters Attack! set, fans now get a new set of units that jump and fire on impulse. Now called Glitched Out!, Set 8.5 will allow you to mix and match champions and traits like never before.

New traits in TFT Set 8.5

teaminfinity

A new full-fledged superhero team, InfiniTeam is all about bringing in reinforcements. They do this with the portals they spawn on your board. At the start of combat, all units placed above the portal will summon a version of themselves from a different universe (i.e. a different TFT set). They will spawn with random items.

  • Three InfiniTeam Champions – A portal summons a unit with 40% health and damage
  • Five InfiniTeam Champions – Two portals that summon units for 55% health and damage
  • Seven InfiniTeam Champions – Two portals that summon units with 90% health and damage

The six different InfiniTeam units are Lucian, Pantheon, Shen, Sivir, Twisted Fate, and Ultimate Ezreal.

Quick drawing

The 8 set really liked its shooting abilities, and the 8.5 set is no different. Units with the Quickdraw trait fire an additional ability shell for every 2 damaging ability shells.

  • Two Quickdraw – Bonus projectile deals 60% total damage
  • Two Quickdraw – Bonus projectile deals 100% total damage
  • Two Quickdraw – Bonus projectile deals 140% total damage

Quickdraw units include Lucian, Miss Fortune, Kai’sa, and the underground version of Ezreal. Not all five cost Pulsefire Ezreal.

rift walker

When you have all three Riftwalker champions, they open up a gap between dimensions, summoning their ally, Zac. Once on the board, Zac gains power based on the star level of his fellow Riftwalkers. Zac also gains the closest Riftwalker ultimate trait. For example, if Vex is closest, Zac would also become a pet.

The three Riftwalker units are Jhin, Pyke, and Vex.

Parallel

If you play both Underground Ezreal and Ultimate Ezreal, the two build on each other. Underground Ezreal’s ultimate blast becomes a blast that hits all enemies in line. Meanwhile, Ultimate Ezreal summons two additional temporary duplicates.
