Illuvium recently released an announcement for Illuvium Beyond, a combination PFP and NFT collecting game. Now they’re revealing more details about their plans for this fourth layer of the ever-growing Illuvium universe!
Illuvium continues to expand its offerings, bringing Illuvitars and a new game, Illuvium Beyond, to a website near you! You can read the full official post here, but I’ll try to summarize and cover all the key points here.
Illuvium Beyond focuses on Illuvitars. These are collectible, customizable PFP-type NFTs! Illuviars are hand-drawn representations of illuvia from the world Illuvium. They arrive with random backgrounds and facial expressions, but the real uniqueness will come from each player’s customization options. Illuvitars have five accessory slots. These are the head, body, skin, eyes and accessories. Illuvitars also come with special finishes or shines: color and hologram. Holo is the rarest of them all.
An Illuvitar’s power rating is determined by its rarity and the rarity of the gear it carries. Attaching or equipping an Illuvitar to an item is a permanent transformation. Potentially there will be a future option to replace accessories, but at first each slot is a unique action, so choose your accessories wisely!

How to Acquire Illuvitars and Accessories
Illuvium will be hosting a D1sk bundle sale soon. These are available in Standard and Mega versions. Each contains a random Illuvitar and three accessories. Additionally, the standard disc contains a level 0 bonus Illuvitar, while the Mega Pack includes a bonus rare Illuvitar. Mega Bundles also have a higher chance of finding higher rarity items.
Some of the D1sk packages will be marked as ‘alpha’ packages, but otherwise appear to be the same as normal packages. The prices are 0.0005 ETH for a standard package and 0.025 for a Mega. Alpha packs cost 5 times the normal price.

Collections and classifications
Collections and leaderboards are the game side of this version. Players complete their collections by placing their Illuvitars in an album. Illuvitars can be used in multiple sets if they meet the requirements. Sets can include focus on Illuvitar types, equipped accessories, backgrounds, affinities, classes, and card sets. The higher the power of Illuvials placed in collections, the more album points they are worth. Completing collections also increases album points.
Illuvium Beyond will feature a leaderboard showing the top 100 players with the highest album scores. Later, leaderboard winners will receive exclusive borders to use with their Illuvitars.
What is rain?
Illuvium is an open-world RPG adventure game built on the Ethereum blockchain and using the Immutable X layer. Players travel across a vast and varied landscape to hunt and capture creatures or Illuvials. Along with their tamed little creatures, players are tasked with finding out what caused the cataclysm that turned the world upside down.
While Illuvium’s base game is an open-world adventure game that’s part auto-combat and creature-collecting, Illuvium’s web3 space encompasses more. For example, the next Illuvium Zero will be a land-building game. However, this game will still tie into the main game by producing resources for use in Illuvium Overworld.
Illuvium Overworld, the open-world RPG, will feature over 100 Illuviales to capture, each with different attributes and powers. Capture them, upgrade them, and combine two Illuvials to merge a new one. Players can store their Iluvials in shards, much like a trading card. These cards contain the essence of an Illuvial. Players can trade Shards at the Market or give them to a friend.
Illuvium has its own marketplace known as IlluviDex. This will serve as a central clearing point for all things Illuvium. Illuvium also includes player governance in the form of a Council that goes through regular election periods.
