Alan Wake Remastered update is now available on Switch, improves performance

Remedy has released a new update for the Switch version of Alan Wake Remastered, and is already available for those who have already purchased the title. The game should now be in version 1.0.1.
There are no patch notes to share as the update is quite straightforward. According to an official tweet, it “improves frame rate and overall performance, especially when the game is played in docked mode.”
Alan Wake Remastered was an exciting announcement for the Switch at the time, but the release didn’t go so well. Those who played the game noted that performance was an issue. Despite aiming for 30fps, consistent drops could be seen, which was far from a smooth experience. The issues were more pronounced when playing docked.
Now that the Alan Wake Remastered update is here, hopefully those frame rate issues have been resolved. We’ll keep you posted if more information comes to light.
