Remedy has just released its 2022 financial results, which not only give us a look at the past year, but also some clues about the company’s future.
CEO of Remedy, Tero Virtala, provided some interesting details about Alan Wake 2. “Alan Wake 2 is in full production,” he said. “The game will soon have all the content ready, and it will be playable from start to finish. Then we’ll move on to polishing the experience.”
“Alan Wake is a unique brand that is of great value to the company today. Alan Wake Remastered has not generated any royalties yet. However, we expect sales to increase as the release of Alan Wake 2 is imminent and fans and new players want to experience the original story on next-gen consoles.”
Besides Alan Wake 2, there are other projects Remedy has its eye on. For example, there are several Control spin-offs in the works and a sequel to the game. Both spin-offs are still in prototype phase with the sequel, but Remedy plans to release a new game every year, starting in 2023so we will soon have a lot to expect from the studio.
