Apple TV+ will broadcast, at the end of March, the film Tetris which focuses on the creation of the famous game popularized by the Game Boy!

Mario, Sonic, Uncharted, Halo, Mortal Kombat or even The Last of Us, whose chapter 5 was released last week… So many video game adaptations that are successful or that will arrive soon. The next film to date takes another form since instead of adapting a game, it follows the creation of a monument to video games. Tetris, as the name suggests, is all about creating the famous puzzle title.

The incredible story of a video game monument

Tetris tells the story of Henk Rogers, played here by Taron Egerton, a Dutch-born businessman who enabled Negotiation and obtaining of Tetris rights for Nintendo. Specifically the iconic Game Boy version of the puzzle game. The film notably follows Rogers’ trip to the Soviet Union to negotiate with Tetris rights holder Elorg. Without forgetting his meeting and his friendship with the creator of the game, Alexey Pajitnov.
