Not a day goes by without Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision creating drama. An Activision executive, Lulu Cheng Meservey (CCO of Activision Blizzard) has lost control over Twitter…

Thus, the skirmish between Microsoft and Sony around the takeover of Activision, publisher of Call of Duty, will have no end. So much so that every day we are the true spectators of a new aspect of the tragicomedy which sometimes involves the employees themselves. This time the hit comes indirectly from the studio, it mostly comes from an Activision Blizzard executive.

Lulu Cheng MeserveyActivision Blizzard’s director of customer support posted a meme on the platform of the rather funny blue bird. In this tweet, according to her, she describes the bipolar behavior that Sony would adopt in this takeover. It is built on a well-known template if you are a fan of these humorous little images. The first, a person on his bike represents Sony. In the second photo, this same character puts a spoke in the wheels in the literal sense of the term, which represents the self-sabotage of the Japanese company with the mention “refuses to accept guaranteed long-term access in Call of Duty”. And finally, on the third photo, we see the character simulating an injury with the mention “What if we lose access to CoD.”

Activision, Microsoft and Sony, are all shots allowed?

This meme is another response to the endless successive attacks from all sides. According to some people, Sony is reportedly trying to derail Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Lulu Cheng Meservey even tweeted about it before stating that:

“Microsoft is doing exactly what it said it would do…Sony continues to turn down the opportunity for a long-term Call of Duty deal and tries to undermine it to protect its two-decade dominance.”

He also says he fully trusts the regulators to see the deal through. In addition, he also believes that this will promote competition by relying in particular on the famous American antitrust laws.

This is one more episode in this clash between industry giants. If Redemption continues to challenge the various institutions on legal and financial issues, no one can predict when this film will end. What is certain, however, is that more skirmishes like these will happen again. And rest assured that we will keep you informed…
