Square Enix’s divisive RPG Forspoken has been heavily criticized for its high price tag, but if you go all out and are looking for some free stuff, you can pick up a new cape for Frey on Steam.

The cape in question is called “Cat’s Meow” and can also be obtained through Prime Gaming (as someone always too enthusiastic about the story game, I first picked it up there).

The somewhat basic description says “a cape clearly created for cat fanatics that empowers the wearer”, but the picture of the cape says more than a thousand words.

A collection of different cats are woven into the neon-colored fabric of this classic comic-inspired cape. Featuring black polka dots on a white background, small vocal balloons in cans of cat food and a black feline with rainbow lasers shooting out of its eyes, it’s not just perfect for cat lovers, it’s a must for goths like me who love rounding up hateful bosses.

On Frey’s back is a huge pink Sphynx cat with bright yellow eyes and even more rainbows, and the cape’s massive black hood has “MEOW” written in shiny black script.

Overall, I’m in love with this look, and no, not just because I love cats. Given Frey’s affinity for the dubiously named furry friend Homer (he’s a girl, hence the confusion) and his obsession with colorful streetwear, this look fits the character’s lore perfectly while still being quite impressive.

If you want the Abandoned Cat Meow Cloak, you’ll need to collect it first. February 16 at 9:00 a.m. PST / 12:00 p.m. EST / 5:00 p.m. GMT / 6:00 p.m. CEST. It’s unclear if it will be completely removed from the store after that, but either way, it’s free, get it!

However, Forspoken isn’t free, so if you’re looking for some of the best free games on Steam, we’ve got a long list. Even better, we’ve also got a roundup of the best free PC games, some of which are likely to be a bit cheaper than Forspoken.
