2023 is full of highly anticipated video game releases and many of them are independent productions, such as the Mexican metroidvania developed by HALBERD STUDIOS: 9 years of shadows. This week the final trailer for 9 Years of Shadows was released and it was confirmed that will arrive on March 27 on PC via Steam, with the Nintendo Switch version coming later.
It’s long been confirmed that 9 Years of Shadows will be coming to both Nintendo Switch and PC, but we’ll first see it release on Steam on Monday, March 27, 2023. This week we saw a new trailer for 9 Years of Shadows as part of IGN Fan Fest and it’s already confirmed to be its final trailer, showing us what we can expect from the game at launch.
The new 9 Years of Shadows trailer shows us much of its gameplay and three of the armors we use, Poseidon, Gaia, and Helios. Each has its own unique design and abilities, which we got to see in action during the trailer. Halberd Studios celebrated the release of this new trailer with a new post on their Kickstarter page, where they thank the community for their patience over the past few years.
Along with releasing the new 9 Years of Shadows trailer and announcing its PC release date, Halberd Studios has announced an exclusive comic for select Kickstarter backers that will expand on the backstory of the game a bit. one of the game’s characters. If you’re a fan of the Metroidvania genre, don’t lose sight of 9 Years of Shadow, because everything we’ve seen so far looks very promising and we’ll be able to play its Steam version in just over a month. 9 Years of Shadows is developed by Mexican independent studio HALBERD Studios.
