Sega and Yoko Taro’s new game is called 404 Game RE:SET (pronounced game reset). The game is a mobile role-playing game set in an alternate reality where Sega dominates all aspects of reality. The player encounters a character named “X” and together they will team up with human versions of Sega’s IPs to defeat the evil corporation. services for 404 Game RE:SET it will debut in spring 2023 and will be released on Android and iOS devices. Sega released this information in a seven-minute video, which includes gameplay trailers, as well as an interview with Yoko Taro and Yuugen, the game’s character artist. The video shows popular Sega franchises turned into characters. humans, with games (or characters) like virtual fighter, Exceedoh after burner between them.

Sega announced that the official website and Twitter account (@404gamereset) for the game are now publicly available. A pre-registration campaign is currently underway in Japan, which includes a currency bonus that is awarded at launch, based on the number of registrations.
404 Game RE:SET it’s being developed for Android and iOS devices, with service for the game slated for spring 2023 in Japan.
