Hardly a day goes by now, let alone a week, without a Steam sale. It’s Midweek Madness again today and there are a lot of games on offer. So that you don’t have to rummage through the Steam shop yourself, we have selected the most interesting offers for you.

Incidentally, the rules of the game will change for Steam sales in the near future, for example extremely high and extremely low discounts will be abolished.

Let’s get straight to the highlight of this week, this time there’s top-notch shooter action at a particularly affordable price. But beware, not for long!

Highlight of the week: Borderlands 3

  • Genre & Release: Loot-Shooter, 13. September 2019
  • Discount & Price: 80 percent, 12 instead of $67 euros
  • Offer valid until: February 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m

Okay, we’ve cheated a bit here, because Strictly speaking, Borderlands 3 isn’t part of Midweek Madness, but heavily reduced because of a publisher campaign.

The third part of the loot shooter series does almost everything better and more impressive than its predecessors: There are significantly cooler and more varied weapons that are more fun than in the predecessor thanks to spectacular new sound and graphic effects. The world is designed much more detailed and the different levels are quite varied.

The abilities of the new heroes have also been significantly expanded. You can now choose between different active skills for each exterminator and customize them with unlockable skills. Only with the antagonists can Borderlands 3 not reach the same heights as its predecessor, and that’s no wonder: After all, Handsome Jack is considered one of the best video game antagonists of all time.

In any case, for twelve euros you can’t go far wrong here. You can expect the typical, weird humor of the Borderlands series and a lot of entertaining action, because Borderlands 3 is not stingy in terms of scope either.

More exciting offers

But even those who don’t do much with shooting irons and comic optics will find what they are looking for this week, because there are a whole range of other games on offer:

  • Superliminal: The puzzles in this innovative puzzle game are based on perspective and depth perception. On top of that, you will also experience an entertaining story while you puzzle your way through the surreal dream world. (50 percent reduced to $9.49)
  • Hollow Knight: Dark 2D platformer that impresses with its dense atmosphere and hand-drawn backgrounds. As a fearless bug, we’ll explore a forgotten insect kingdom and defeat bosses to explore new map sections with the skills we’ve gained. (50 percent reduced to $8.47)
  • Witch: Wizard Roguelite convinces 95 percent of Steam reviewers with a unique idea: every pixel is physically simulated and can be influenced accordingly.
