Bandai Namco has released the patch notes for Jojo’s All-Star Battle R update 1.6. It will arrive on March 20, 2023. Most of the changes will focus on fixing game balance. update will also mark the official addition of Keicho Nijimura to the roster of playable characters.

In addition to Keicho Nijimura appearing as a playable character, there will be other items attached to him. Her JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Glossary entries, gallery items, and in-game customization options are also being added to the game. Bandai Namco previously announced that this would be the third DLC character, and the company plans to release the fourth later this spring.

General balance changes include standardizing the hitbox area around the feet to remove an imbalance that allows some characters to dodge projectiles when backing up after being knocked down. Additionally, air attack inconsistencies will be adjusted to prevent characters from moving in the wrong direction after being hit.

In particular, the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R The hotfix will address an issue where the crouch knockback animation would trigger after getting hit while completing a fancy guard. This issue would disrupt the flow of the game and give the attacking player an unfair advantage. As with every character, many changes will adjust running speed, attack conditions, and knockback animations.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
