1.- New Jersey

In the state of New Jersey, residents can receive SNAP cash assistance during the first week of August. The maximum amount you can get is $1,691. The order in which you get your money will depend on the seventh digit of the beneficiary’s case number.

About 857,300 residents receive SNAP assistance in the state, representing 9% of its total population. The maximum of $1,691 is for families with eight members, while those with four members will receive $939 and a single person will get $281.

An additional $211 will be awarded for each additional member in a New Jersey household.

2.- New York

New York also provides SNAP vouchers. Eligibility requirements and monthly benefit amounts are based on household size, income and assets, to name a few factors.

The main requirement is that recipients reside in New York, have a current bank balance, between savings and checking accounts, of less than $2,001 for singles and $3,001 for those with joint accounts.

The minimum SNAP grant in New York is $281 for individuals in a single household, while families of eight can get up to $1,691. For each additional member, an extra $211 will be given.

3.- Texas

In Texas, another state with a strong Latino presence in the United States, a maximum amount of $1,691 dollars can be received, which is granted to those families composed of eight members. Single persons will receive $281 dollars and households with an additional member will receive an extra $211 dollars.
