The highlights on Disney + in October 2021
Black Widow: Sure, the Marvel film about the Russian spy Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) has been available on Disney Plus for a while – but until now you had to pay extra for it. From October 6, 2021, the additional costs of 22 euros will no longer apply. That means any Disney Plus subscriber can watch Black Widow. Nice thing.
By the way, Black Widow takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Captain America: Civil War and before Avengers: Infinity War. A real gap filler. Accordingly, it is advisable to be reasonably up to date with the Marvel films (and series). Lego Star Wars scary stories: A new Star Wars film starts on Disney Plus. However, this is not a new episode or a spin-off under the A Star Wars Story
-Banner. Instead, Horror Stories will be a new Lego Special, after the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, the first of which was released for Disney Plus at the end of 2022.
The horror stories themselves are heavily inspired by the comic series Tales from Vader’s Castle: short stories with a scary factor that are supposed to bring a pinch of horror to the Star Wars universe. Of course, all of this remains child-friendly, while there is a kind of reunion with old heroes and villains in Darth Vader’s fortress on Mustafar.
