Jimmy Kimmel will be the master of ceremonies at the next Oscars, which will take place on March 12, 2023 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. This will be the third time that the announcer – famous for his television program “Jimmy Kimmel live”– host the event, after getting good reviews in 2017 and 2018.

Glenn Weiss y Ricky Kirshner, producers of the ceremony, announced the decision in a statement that highlighted the following: “We are very excited that Jimmy marks his third time on this world stage. We know he will be fun and ready for anything.”

As for Jimmy, known for his kind character, his ironic details and for always being open to improvisation, he was grateful for having been chosen once again to lead such an important event: “Being invited to present the Oscar a third time is either a great honor or a trap. Either way, I’m grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after all the good guys said no.”
