The Cuban reggaeton duo Gente de Zona, made up of Alexander Delgado Hernández and Randy Malcom Martínez, published this Friday their new single and video “Q’Lona”, with which they honor women.

This premiere of the winners of six Latin Grammy awards will be part of Gente de Zona’s new album, which is expected to be released next April.

The video refers to the well-known saying “what is inherited is not stolen” and highlights in the semblance of the protagonist, a mother, “her wonderful physical attribute and the power she demonstrates in her daily life.”

“Physical beauty becomes even more powerful and attractive when tenacity prevails,” says the duo, remembered for their worldwide hit “Bailando,” in a collaboration between Enrique Iglesias and Descemer Bueno.

The new video for Gente de Zona, which began as a street rap group and has become one of the most recognized duos in the urban genre, was filmed in the city of Miami under the direction of Guillermo Figueredo.

The well-known group, which was part of the award-winning song “Patria y vida”, a hymn to Cuba’s freedom, closed the 2022 edition of Premios Lo Nuestro, which was held in Miami, on Thursday night, with its hit “Qué madness”, together with the young artist Ovi.
