New season, new passionate romance. The second salvo of episodes of The Bridgerton Chronicle , available on Netflix since March 25, focuses on the love quest of Lord Anthony Bridgerton ( Jonathan Bailey ), the eldest of the siblings who seeks to fulfill his duty and to have a good marriage.

Under the spotlight during the new social season, the viscount will do everything to find the right wife and thinks he has found her in the person of Edwina Sharma ( Charithra Chandran ), freshly arrived from India. Except that her sister Kate Sharma ( Simone Ashley ) watches over her and doesn’t see Anthony’s wishes favorably. Very quickly enemies, Anthony and Kate will end up turning around and feeling an irresistible attraction.

Anthony and Kate try to shake off this alluring game of cat and mouse and are torn between love and duty. But their burning passion ends up consuming them and their sentimental relationship becomes inevitable. The two lovebirds finally abandon themselves to each other and are even entitled to a happy ending .

Even if there are fewer sex scenes in this second season of The Bridgerton Chronicle, the fact remains that they have to be prepared and organized on set, in particular with the help of a coordinator. of intimacy, Lizzy Talbot, already present on the first season of the Netflix series created by  Chris Van Dusen for Shondaland.

For season 2, Jonathan Bailey, the interpreter of Anthony Bridgerton, revealed to Radio Times that objects were also used to respect safety distances so that the private parts do not touch, and in particular a rather unusual object, a netball ball [sport derived from basketball, editor’s note]:

“It’s amazing how this whole industry is growing, even in a year. There are new tricks in the business – little cushions – and it’s amazing what you can do with a half-inflated netball. If there are two people performing a sex scene, the rule is that they must have three barriers separating them and there are certain acts where a half-inflated netball can allow certain movements without having to physically connect. It’s really silly and we had a few hilarious moments, but it makes it less awkward.”
