Something promised, something due. During the Xbox Games Showcase, Bethesda assured that a Next-Gen patch would arrive for Doom Eternal to allow 120fps and raytracing on the new consoles. This free update is now available for those lucky enough to own the latest machines from Sony and Microsoft.

In this video captured on Xbox Series X directly with the console capture tool, you’ll see the first few minutes of Doom Eternal with the Next-Gen patch enabled. In this configuration, the game runs in 1800p at 60 frames per second while having raytracing. As you will see in this playthrough, the metal surfaces are more precise, the puddles of blood on the ground show reflections, and the windows reflect the image of the Slayer.

Doom Eternal is available on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is part of the Game Pass offer.
