The Latin music star closed an agreement with Sumerian Comics to produce an “action-packed” graphic novel, underlines the statement released this Sunday.

The deal marks an expansion into new creative territories for both the singer and Sumerian Comics & Games, which recently acquired graphic novel publisher and game company Behemoth Comics, the note said.

Although details are still under development, the project is described as an action-thriller manga-style comic strip inspired by the likes of James Bond and Xander Cage.

“I love collaborating to take my creativity to new and interesting places,” said Ozuna about this new project.

“I am very excited to partner with the Sumerian team and do something new, captivating and fun for my fans and my culture,” said the singer.

Foundation Media Partners CEO Patrick Hughes and COO Harvey Russell worked with Simran A. Singh of the firm Singh, Singh & Trauben to facilitate the adaptation of Ozuna into this genre of graphic novel entertainment.

In partnership with The Blueprint Group, a career management company for Lil Nas X, Kanye West, Drake and other musicians, Foundation Media supports emerging and established businesses and individuals across all industries, including entertainment, music and digital.

Sumerian Records is an independent entertainment brand known for representing artists such as the Smashing Pumpkins, Black Veil Brides, and music-based films such as American Satan that was distributed by Miramax with an AMC theatrical release.

Ozuna’s project, which still has no title, will be the company’s first graphic novel with a Latin American artist, following its acquisition of Behemoth Comics in March 2022.

Founded in 2020, Behemoth (now Sumerian) has gained recognition for its comics, graphic novels, and video games, with more than 500,000 comics sold annually.
