There is great expectation and demand for the stories surrounding British royalty, right? This is reflected in the success of The Crown series in recent years. Now Spencer will arrive, a film directed by Chilean Pablo Larraín about the life of Diana of Wales. And we can already see the first image of Kristen Stewart in the leading role.

Spencer’s story will span the princess’s Christmas period in the early 1990s, in Sandringham, Norfolk. On those vacations with the Royal Family, Lady Di decided to separate from Prince Charles of England.

“The film is an emotional immersion into Diana’s psyche, of who she really was at a fundamental turning point in her life. It is a physical affirmation of the sum of her entire being, beginning with her real last name: Spencer. It is a titanic effort for her to be herself again,” Stewart told Variety.

Filming will be in the UK and Germany. The script will be written by Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders and co-writer of Eastern Promises and Locke. Also featured in the cast are Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, and Sean Harris.
