I’m sure it hasn’t escaped anyone’s notice that Shakira and Gerard Piqué broke up because he cheated on her repeatedly, and as a result, according to fans of Shakira, he has brought quite a bit of bad karma upon himself. So the fact that-he recently fell into a hole on a stage is entirely his own fault, according to fans.

Last Tuesday night, Gerard fell into a hole on stage during the launch event of his Kings League Américas 7-on-7 tournament. Footage from TMZ shows the former soccer player walking to the edge of the stage to meet his fans, but when he’s almost there, he suddenly seems to sink through the floor. Perhaps Gerard himself was just not paying attention, as he was also talking on the phone at the same time.

Reportedly, Gerard did not sustain anything from his fall. But fans of Shakira didn’t seem to care about that anyway – they flocked to X after seeing the footage to share that the fall was his “punishment” for treating Shakira badly. For example, one fan shared: ‘Don’t disrespect the stage queen and then expect the stage to respect you’. Another informed: ‘You can’t escape KARMA oh well pique’, and yet another fan cited another spiritual custom: ‘The shakira voodoo got him good.’ Overall, fans agreed that he deserved the fall.

We just hope for Piqué’s sake that he treats his current girlfriend, the woman he cheated on Shakira with, well so that no more falls await him.
