Dakota Johnson settles ’50 Shades of Grey’: ‘It was scary’
The US actress sees the shooting of the successful films with different eyes today.
It’s been seven years since US actress Dakota Johnson became famous almost overnight for her role in ” Fifty Shades of Grey”. However, the 32-year-old looks back critically on the shooting today. So she revealed to Vanity Fair magazine that she didn’t know what she was getting into. “I don’t think anyone would have done it if they knew what it was going to be like,” Johnson said of her work on the series.
In an interview, she denied rumors that there was any bad blood between her and co-star Jamie Dornan . “There was never a time when we didn’t get along,” she said of Dornan. “I know it’s weird but he’s like a brother to me. I love him so much. And we were really there for each other. We had to really trust each other and protect each other.”

“She [James] was in creative control, and she was just demanding things to happen,” Johnson said. “There were parts of the books that just wouldn’t work in a movie, like the inner monologue, which was incredibly cheesy at times. It was always a struggle. Always.”
She often felt uncomfortable doing this. “I was young. I was 23. So it was scary,” said Johnson, who signed a three-movie deal. “There were a lot of disagreements. I’ve never been able to talk about it because you really want to promote a film and I’m proud of what we ended up doing. But it was difficult.” Johnson tried to salvage part of the original script.
