Jamie Spears, Britney Spears’ father , and the security company he hired to ‘protect’ his daughter, deployed a surveillance system that included monitoring the singer’s communications and recording audio inside her bedroom, according to a documentary from the American newspaper ‘The New York Times’.

The newspaper attended the testimony of Alex Vlasov , a former employee of the security company ‘Black Box’, who commented that conversations with the artist’s children and boyfriend were recorded.

You were able to see all his messages, FaceTime calls, notes, search history of Internet browsers, photographs. They also monitored the conversations with their friends, mom and with their lawyer, Sam Ingham, ” revealed the former employee.

According to Vlasov’s testimony , the ‘relentless surveillance’ to which Britney was subjected ” helped several people linked to the guardianship, mainly her father, to control almost every aspect of her life.”

“When I look back, it really reminds me of someone who was in prison. The security company was in the position of essentially being like prison guards, ” the man added in the documentary.

Mathew S. Rosengart, current attorney for the artist, addressed the recent revelation. He called this an “inconceivable and shameful violation of privacy rights.”

Putting an audio system in Britney’s room would be particularly horrifying. And it verifies a lot of his moving story, “ said Rosengart in a chat with the ‘ABC’ news network.

The security company ‘Black Box’ refrained from commenting on issues of its clients, but assured in a statement that it has acted professionally, ethically and legally. Likewise, she was “proud” for having cared for the singer for so many years.

‘Controlling Britney Spears’ was released on the Hulu streaming platform. This joins’ Britney vs. Spears’, a Netflix tape.

While the ‘The New York Times’ documentary focuses on the “intense surveillance apparatus that controlled every movement the pop star made” , as the medium itself describes it, ‘Britney vs Spears’ analyzes the twists and turns it has taken the life of the singer when she went from being a child artist to a pop diva and, finally, to live in the grip of her fame and her problems.

The creators of the film are the same ones who launched the documentary ‘Framing Britney’, which exposed the case of the singer for the first time with great audience success and which was followed by another from the ‘BBC’ chain entitled ‘The Battle for Britney. ‘

The singer has criticized all the works that have been published about her life, assuring that they exploit her dramatic personal situation.

Next Wednesday, September 29, a hearing is scheduled in the Los Angeles Supreme Court that could decide the future of the singer’s legal guardianship. A few weeks ago, Britney’s father delivered documents in which he was determined to end the guardianship that he himself has controlled for 13 years.

“Recent events related to this guardianship have cast doubt on whether circumstances have changed to such an extent that there may no longer be grounds for establishing a guardianship,” said Jamie Spears. But the matter is much more complicated: a month before Jamie commented that he would resign from the guardianship with several conditions, such as appointing another person in charge.

For his part, Britney’s lawyer asked this week for an immediate and effective dismissal, since, in addition to the singer’s rejection of her father, she needs to sign a prenuptial agreement with her new fiancé.

Last week Britney announced her engagement to Sam Asghari , with whom she has been in a relationship for five years.
