• A “mash-up” that brings together the songs “Viva Las Vegas” by Elvis Presley and “Toxic” by Britney Spears is heard in the movie “Elvis”, and has been so well received that director Baz Luhrmann is now working to officially launch it.

In the hit movie “Elvis” you can hear a combination (mash-up) of the musical pieces “Viva Las Vegas” by Elvis Presley and “Toxic” by Britney Spears; however, the theme does not appear on the soundtrack, so the director of the film, Baz Luhrmann, has set himself a goal to please the fans of both artists.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Australian filmmaker commented that he is currently working on officially releasing that remix, which has been acclaimed by both fans of the king of rock and roll and those of the princess of pop. “It is my passion and commitment to bring all parties involved together to get (the song) ready for fans, as I know that Britney herself and Elvis are, in many ways, connected in their own different ways,” he said.

The “Elvis” soundtrack includes music stars such as Chris Isaak, Stevie Nicks, Eminem and Jack White; the album has so far spawned one hit single, “Vegas,” performed by Doja Cat. Baz once compared Britney to Elvis, commenting, “Just like Britney, who creates the quintessential ’90s pop music. , you are richer than God and you are in the Hollywood bubble. That’s what happens to Elvis. He went from being this rebel, this punk, deeply steeped in his black music friends making radical music, to suddenly being isolated in Hollywood making pop.”
