GüipUp, a start-up that accompanies companies in all stages of the internationalization process, initiates a financing round and invests €400,000 in the development of its software. This platform will draw on all the company’s knowledge, facilitating the entire international expansion process for its clients and increasing the team’s efficiency. In this way, the system that GüipUp has created to accompany companies in their growth towards other markets, is materialized in a technology that will also allow its clients to manage their expansion in a more autonomous way and with more control.

With this, GüipUp has all the necessary tools to take off with a business that has already demonstrated that the professionalization of the steps that lay the foundations for the internationalization of companies has a future. Five years after its foundation, the company has accumulated several success stories, for example, thanks to the start-up, the brand Jamones Andrés Izquierdo has managed to start operations in Paraguay and Brazil, in addition to selling regularly in Holland, Denmark, Finland, Australia and Greece. GüipUp has also led the international expansion of MUN Kombucha, a Catalan brand of fermented tea that will start selling in a Dutch supermarket chain; or Grupo Boniquet Sparchim, a Catalan dental company that will start operations with one of the main supermarket chains in the United States.

“The best option for a company that wants to grow is to expand into other markets. However, when a company decides to go abroad, it encounters countless obstacles that are difficult to overcome without understanding the legal regulations, the language or culture of that country, and without having a reliable network of contacts, among other things,” explains Lourdes Cuevas, CEO and founder of GüipUp. After traveling the world and opening international markets for twenty years, she has created a team of experts with more than 100 years of experience in the field.

GüipUp, at the side of companies

Seeing that companies always encounter the same problems when opening markets, GüipUp was created to accompany its clients throughout the process to make it as smooth as possible. The team ensures that the company has all the necessary certificates for its internationalization, builds communication with the market to which they wish to expand and puts the company in contact with buyers. In addition, GüipUp can also act as a representative, follow up and cover both the suppliers in the supply chain once the sale has been achieved, as well as the technology for traceability. They also have all the necessary tools to generate demand in these new markets.

“This is a very ambitious project and we are excited to take it forward. All the work that has been done so far has resulted in an internationalization tool that has attracted national and foreign investor clients,” adds Lourdes Cuevas.

Thanks to the new software, GüipUp will not only have the necessary alliances for its business, but will also have the technology to be able to access a round of investment by Venture Capital.
