Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, a luxury that now extends by 180mm

Bentley has started 2022 stronger than ever thanks to the positive reinforcement provided by the sales figures achieved last year, managing to become one of its best years despite the pandemic still raging, with the Bentayga as the undisputed leader thanks to a share of 40% of the brand’s sales , thus becoming the most important model for Bentley.

The Bentley Bentayga raised luxury standards within the SUV world with its market launch, a segment on the rise even for this type of brand where we have seen how others have followed in its wake by incorporating this type of vehicle into its catalog. With the aim of continuing to be the standard of luxury SUVs, both for Bentley and for the rest, the Bentayga now expands its offer with the arrival of the Extended Wheelbase or EWB version.

The Bentayga EWB is the new extended wheelbase version, a feature that can be seen quite easily from the outside thanks to the 180 mm that its wheelbase has grown, thus going from 2,990 mm in the normal version to 3,170 mm in the Bentayga. EWB. This greater length translates into greater comfort for the rear seats, where the occupants will gain in convenience and comfort, the latter thanks to the panoramic roof that has seen its position delayed by 12.5 cm , managing to introduce more light into the rear seats, in addition of an air conditioner in these places that can only be activated if they are occupied.

Optionally, the Bentley Airline Seat package can be equipped with which to exponentially improve the quality and comfort of the rear seats, even matching those we could find in the first class of an airplane. These seats have the peculiarity of being able to be controlled and configured by each passenger, in addition to being able to recline up to 40º and have the intelligent Seat Auto Climate , being able to measure the temperature on contact and humidity in order to adjust its different parts at the ideal temperature.

It will not be the only feature of these premium seats, they can also be hardened or softened at six pressure points with up to 177 different settings , thus improving the comfort of the occupants. To all this we must add the level of quality and characteristic finishes of Bentley, such as the upholstery of the door panels with perforations that have LED lighting to create a unique atmosphere.

On the outside of the Bentley Bentayga EWB we will also have changes apart from a longer wheelbase and larger rear doors, also the front grille is borrowed from the Flying Spur with a design in which the slats become vertical. It is also equipped with 19-inch wheels with a new 10-spoke design in a silver finish. On a mechanical level, it is only available with the 4,000 CC V8 engine capable of generating a power of 550 CV along with a torque of 770 Nm , linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission, with which it manages to reach 100 km/h. in just 4.6 seconds.
