Black-Line launches the very first connected snowboards and skis in the world, currently in a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo.
Connected objects have been on the rise for many years now. They colonized almost all the markets. Today, the French start-up Black-Line is entering a market still virgin of connected objects, that of board sports, with the first connected skis and snowboards in the world. Presentation.
Black-Line launches the world’s very first connected snowboards and skis
Black-Line recently unveiled its new Black-Line Tag technology, in partnership with various third parties, including the creator of LEDGER – to whom we owe the physical wallet of the same name -. This technology is integrated directly into the ski or snowboard, which allows its owner to connect his equipment to a dedicated mobile application.
Developed with Digital PACA, the latter makes it possible to obtain certain useful information, such as equipment specifications, the number of trips made, the state of life – out of 5 stars -, maintenance monitoring, alerts when maintenance is necessary, the declaration of loss or theft to the Black-Line community and the location of the lost or stolen product if someone comes to scan it.

For its launch, Black-Line offers two snowboard models – OBSERV (All moutain / Freeride) in 2 sizes (162 & 158 cm) and WHITE HORSE (Freestyle) in 2 sizes (156 & 152 cm) – and a ski model – VALSY (All moutain / Backcountry) in 2 sizes (184 & 176 cm) -.
All of them offer a Top Sheet in raw bamboo and different wood cores (bamboo, paulownia, poplar, beech), for a resistant, durable, versatile and light end product, all with a biomass resin. This environmental approach goes to the end of the equipment’s life since Black-Line offers against its take back to offer a voucher to its owner.

The OBSERV snowboard could still be yours for 349 €, the WHITE HORSE for 299 € and the VALSY skis for 349 €. The campaign ends on January 29 of 2022 and the first deliveries are expected in February 2022.
