Serie A lives another very complicated afternoon. After the investigation of the Turin Prosecutor’s Office against Juventus for the alleged fictitious capital gains, this afternoon the Guardia di Finanza (financial police) arrested Massimo Ferrero.
The president of Sampdoria, according to the ANSA agency, is being investigated by Paola’s prosecutor’s office for “corporate crimes and bankruptcy”, although the facts do not involve the blucerchiato club. Ferrero has already been transferred to jail, while house arrest was ordered for five more people.
It is another terrible news for the Genoa entity, which in Serie A has had six defeats in the last nine games.
Ferrero, a 70-year-old film producer, exactor and businessman, took the reins of the ‘Samp’ in 2014 and for several months there have been rumors about the possible sale of the equipment to an investment fund in the United States.
