A new security reinforcement has been put in place a week after an incident which allegedly started with a disorder of several young people running, alarming other people and generating a stampede towards the exit which left several injured.
That day, more than a dozen ambulances arrived at the Miami-Dade Youth Fair, and several witnesses at the time recounted what happened.
The complaint from several people present at the fair that evening said that there was no police presence anywhere when this incident occurred.
Now, officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department have announced that they will be available throughout the fairgrounds.
They claimed that they will be located in observation towers to improve their visibility and avoid any type of disturbance to public order.
The Miami-Dade Youth Fair sees hundreds of people every weekend, it’s crowds of entire families, so illegal behavior can happen at any time.
The fair administration and county police are working together to make this space a safe environment.
No disorderly or disruptive behavior that endangers others, especially children who use these facilities, will be tolerated, authorities said.
These people will be evicted from the premises immediately or arrested for criminal activities.
