FTE 1 has already started broadcasting Master Chef 11 with a new “XL” edition that brings changes and new features compared to other previous seasons. This Monday evening, he proposed his first program and, with him, he showed us his first expelled among all competitors.
Judges Jordi Cruz, Pepe Rodríguez and Samantha Vallejo-Nágera welcomed the new batch of the 60 candidates —of the 70,000 who appeared— who in the first program faced the elimination test to find out whether they continued (or not) in the competition. Among them, only 30 will be part of the Talent.
In this challenge, the jury urged candidates to that they cook a dish with a budget of 70 euros to spend together. As guests of the evening, the former aspirants of the program Tamara Falcó and María Lo, winner of the previous edition, were present.
But the final or challenge took place outdoors, more precisely at the Royal Palace in Madrid. In the elimination test, three names stood out as the worst: Roberto, Leti and Larraitz.
Roberto, first expelled from Master Chef 11
In it, candidates for Master Chef 11 They worked in the utility kitchen and his goal was to fix the dishes. One of the least popular, Roberto – a 45-year-old gastronomic consultant – tried to create a lentil dish with Asian accents, but already during cooking the competitor’s mistakes were visible.
Already at the tasting, the jury confirmed that the result was not suitable. It was Pepe Rodríguez who blamed Roberto ‘for making the dish he should have fixed’ worse. But the worst criticism came from Cruz’s mouth: “The dish is terrible, huh. But bad bad. Dirty water, tasteless, looks like lentils with rice, washed. It’s a bad dish.”
Therefore, it seemed clear that the name they were going to utter as the first kicked out of this edition of Culinary Talent was going to be him. “This is a warning, you know how we spend ’em Chef. You have to put in your batteries, put in the effort, study and cook a lot,” Rodríguez said.
“I know why I came. I tried to do my best and I failed… I will continue to improve, to train”, assured Roberto before thanking the jury for giving him the opportunity to participate in the competition. .
Before leaving the set, the chef asked him if, among all his colleagues, he saw one as the big winner: Luis and Eneko.
The new changes in Master Chef 11
As part of the novelties within Chef 11 in its ‘XL’ edition, it should be noted that the contest will be broadcast two days a week; Mondays and Tuesdays. Therefore, this season there will be twice as many challenges and, also, more competitors.
On the program for this Tuesday, March 28, they will do two tests; one for outdoor and one for disposal.
